James O. Jones, Jr. Jim is the Founder and Director of Light of Life Ministry, Inc. A 1981 graduate of Free Will Baptist Bible College, he is an ordained elder in the Southern Methodist Church and currently serves in the position of Christian Education Director. His greatest ministry love is that of teaching, and he has devoted most of his adult life to the study of God's Word and teaching the truths found there. He is married to Barbara, his wife of 27 years (as of April 2009) and together they have three adult children and four grandchildren. |

Barbara D. Jones Barbara Jones (wife of Jim Jones) is an elementary school teacher with 32 years experience. She serves as the secretary of the Board, and desires to help develop the Children's Ministry area of Light of Life Ministry after retiring from her teaching position in the near future. Her love for and experience with children make her an excellent choice to work in this crucial area. She has taught both children and adults in Sunday School and served as a youth camp counselor. Light of Life Ministry is ready for her, but we must increase our financial base before she can move into this vital position. |

Jack serves as the Board Chairman of LOLM. Ordained in the Southern Methodist Church, he is the Pastor of First Southern Methodist Church in Nashville, TN with some 30 years of service in that position. A 1981 graduate of Free Will Baptist Bible College, he and Jim Jones have been close friends since their college years. He is the Pastoral Counselor to the LOLM Board and staff, as well as to any others who call on him. Jack is married to Joyce, his wife of 37 years, (as of June 2009) and they have two adult children and two grandchildren. |

Patricia McDonald Pat, as both a Board member and a volunteer staff person with LOLM, has been crucial in helping produce our first two quarterly studies. She is currently writing a study for teachers to be used in our CEU curriculum. Retired from the Internal Revenue Service, she spent much of her 35 years writing, compiling and teaching the IRS training manuals to new employees. Her teaching abilities have been used in her church, Sunday school, Women's Bible Study, Youth Camp, etc. She is married to Wayne, her husband of 43 years, and they have one daughter and two grandchildren. | |
![]() | Cheryl Gasser Cheryl is a gifted planner and organizer with a winning way of getting people to do what needs to be done. She served as the Director for the Tennessee Southern Methodist Youth Camp for fourteen years, has served with her husband, Ron, in numerous positions within the Boy Scouts of America in the local, regional, state, and even national levels for almost 30 years, and continues to be a tireless worker in her church in various capacities. She and Ron have been married for 42 years and have three adult children and three grandchildren. | |
![]() | Keith Richey Keith, one of our Board members who is not a Southern Methodist, attends the World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro, TN. He serves as the technology advisor for LOLM since by his work he has to keep abreast of all the current developments in the computer and networking industry. Keith is the owner of Computer Depot, a computer hardware and software custom builder, and iTom, Inc., an information technology outsource company. He is married to Amanda, his wife of 23 years, and they have three children and one grandchild. | |

David Keith Kenemer, Sr. Keith joined the LOLM Board in January 2008, serving in the capacity of Church Training and Sunday School Development Consultant. He is employed with Randall House Publications in Nashville, TN where he serves as a Partnership Ministries Representative. He also serves as the National Church Training Consultant for Evangelical Training Association and is an Adjunct professor in Christian Education at the Free Will Baptist Bible College in Nashville. He is known nationally as "The Sunday School Man" and is considered an expert in the field of Sunday school development. He and his wife, MaryAnn, have one grown son. | |
![]() | Lanny Carpenter Lanny joined Light of Life Ministry as a writer and teacher in August 2007, and joined our Board in June 2009. This is currently a part-time volunteer position as he is also Pastor of the Pee Dee Southern Methodist Church in South Carolina and a High School Bible teacher at Dillon Christian Academy. At some point in our future we hope to have Lanny as a full time staff member. He is a 1981 graduate of Southern Methodist College, ordained in the Southern Methodist Church, and has served seventeen years as a pastor and eight years as a Bible teacher for Dillon Christian School. He and his wife, Sandy, have been married 28 years and have six children. | |

Eric Morrison Eric is a young man who has recently accepted the call to ministry. He is currently employed full time, taking on-line college courses in pursuit of his degree in Bible, and is pastor of a small Southern Methodist Church in Fairview, TN. Having sat under the ministry and teaching of Jack Davis (LOLM Chairman) and Jim Jones (LOLM Director) for several years, he has expressed a desire to work with LOLM when possible as he pursues his education, and if the Lord wills, continue to work with LOLM as a Bible teacher in the years to come. He is married to Renee, his wife of 14 years, and they have two children. | |

Dan Shapley Dan joined our Board in January 2009 with a desire to help in both the writing and teaching of the LOLM materials. An ordained elder in the Southern Methodist Church, he is the Pastor of New Beginnings Southern Methodist Church in Bellevue, TN. His experience includes serving as the President of Southern Methodist College in Orangeburg, SC, Director of Administration and Finance for the Southern Methodist denomination, and the headmaster of a Christian School. He is married to Sheila, his wife of 29 years, and they have four grown children and three grandchildren. |
