Statement of Purpose:
The purpose for the existence of the Light of Life Ministry is fourfold as below:
- To fulfill the Scriptural mandate to proclaim the Gospel of Christ to those who are lost and apart from God, and to then disciple them (teach them to observe) in all things taught by the Lord in the Scriptures. (Matthew 28: 20)
- To teach sound doctrines to those believers who are so inclined to study to show themselves approved unto God as workmen who need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth (2 Timothy 2: 15). This will be accomplished through the writing of relevant materials, and the use of other materials so meeting the qualifications of our Statement of Faith.
- To train those so gifted by the Spirit to be teachers, who for various reasons cannot attend institutes of higher learning, that
they may be qualified to teach Sunday School, Bible studies, and home cell-group studies, as the opportunity arises. (2 Timothy 2: 2)
- To equip all believers who will submit themselves to the Lord to be more effective witnesses of the good news of Jesus Christ, that salvation has come, and sin need no more rule in the life of man…salvation by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ. (1 John 1: 1-3)
It should be noted that the plan for these purposes to be fulfilled involves establishing training centers in both churches and homes in as many places as the Lord will permit through His furnishing the workers and the financing for these centers. This ministry can work with a local church, or separate from the local church to carry out its mission.
It should also be noted that new converts, once established in the faith (through the process of being taught in the classes for new converts), will be committed to the care of a local congregation of believers, either in an established church or a Home Cell Church.
